Judith “Judy” Merwin, age 78 of Pardeeville, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the Heritage House in Portage. She was born January 8, 1940 in Madison, the daughter of Richard and Kathleen (Van Etten) DaWalt. She was united in marriage to Robert Merwin in 1956.

She was employed at Rayovac in Portage for many years until her retirement. Judy was an avid Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers fan and she also enjoyed watching birds. She was blessed with four children; Christine, Cynthia, Scott, and Tracy.

Survivors include her children Christine (Dennis) Westfield, Cynthia (Bill) Waring, Scott (Leilani) Merwin, and Tracy (Russ) Graack, nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She is further survived by one brother Nick (Sue) DaWalt, one sister Kim DaWalt, one sister-in-law Jeannie DaWalt, one brother-in-law Kenn Beauchaine and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, three sisters Karen, Jackie, and Kelly, and one brother Jeff and her beloved dog Darby.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, July 14 from 12 Noon to 2:30 PM at Grasse Funeral Home, 119 Industrial Drive in Pardeeville. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM. A celebration gathering will be held at Achterberg’s Sports Club 22 in Pardeeville following the service.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Heritage House and Generations Hospice for their care of Mom.
