Judith’s Obituary Judith Mae (O’Brien) Ling passed, 80, of West Lafayette, died Wednesday, May 2, 2019 at Creasy Springs Health Campus, West Lafayette. She was born April 3, 1939 in Gary to the late Loren and Agatha (Bonner) O’Brien. She graduated from Horace Mann High School in Gary and attended Ball State University.

Judith worked and retired as an administrative assistant for Great Lakes Chemical Corps. On August 31, 1958, she married the love of her life, David E. Ling in Gary. She loved the ocean and enjoyed traveling.

She also liked to play bridge, go shopping, drawing, and painting. She was a member of the Tri-Kappa Philanthropic Sorority. Along with her husband David, she is survived by 2 children, Michael Ling of Kokomo, Mark (Lara) Ling of Lafayette; former daughter-in-law, Lori Barger of Pittsburgh, PA; brother, David O’Brien of Valaparaiso; sister, Rebecca Atwood of Green Bay, WI; 4 grandsons, Cory (Caitlin) Ling of Columbus, OH, Parker Ling of Lafayette, Ethan Ling of Pittsburgh, PA, and Conner Ling of Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Agatha O’Brien and a sister, Catherine (O’Brien) Combs. A memorial service will be held at a future date.
