Judy’s Obituary Judy Kay Reynolds, 76, of Windsor, died Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at her home. She was born on November 14, 1942, in Higginsville, Missouri, a daughter of Harry and Bertha (Geotz) Alpers. She was born and raised in Higginsville.

After her marriage to Wayne Smith, the couple moved to Florida and lived there for about seven years until her parents’ health began to fail. They moved back to Higginsville, where she had worked as a housekeeper at Meyer Care Center for over 20 years and was a cook at Kingsville Livestock Auction. Judy later married Vernon Reynolds and moved to Holden and in 2001, the couple moved to Windsor.

She enjoyed helping people, watching the Hallmark Channel, reading romance novels, and loved going shopping and going to garage sales. She is survived by: a daughter, Mary Nations and her husband Joe of Windsor; her sister, Barbara Johnson and her husband Richard of Higginsville; her brother, Harry Alpers and his wife Lila of Concordia; ten grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Bertha Alpers, her first husband, Wayne Smith, her second husband, Vernon Reynolds, her son, David Smith, her sister, Becky Cothern, her brother, Donnie Alpers, and a granddaughter, Delaynee Daniels.

Celebration of her life will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Odd Fellowship Lodge, 216 W. Benton, Windsor. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp.
