Obituary for Judy Kay Wright Ms. Judy K. Wright, 69, of Brownstown, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. She was born April 8, 1949, in Seymour, to the late William and Dorothy (Taskey) Wright. Wright was a 1967 graduate of Seymour High School.

She was an alumnus of Indiana University, graduating in 1982 with a degree in Political Science. She served as Executive Director of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Terre Haute. Following that, she served as Executive Director of Camp O’Bannon near Columbus, Ohio.

Most of her career was devoted to children’s services. For 10 years, she was active in Rural Youth, serving as state vice president in 1972-73. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Seymour.

Survivors include best friends Dr. Mary Hums, Louisville, Ky. , and Ms. Martha Winslow, Columbus; a niece, Amy (Shawn) Blankenship; a nephew, Michael (Kathy) Nelson and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sue Nelson.

Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Voss Funeral Service, Seymour, with Rev. Sandy Cooper officiating. Family and friends may call from noon until time of service.

Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Memorials may be made to the Huntington Disease Foundation or Happy Hollow Camp, in care of Voss Funeral Service. Online condolences may be made at the funeral home’s web site, www.
