OBITUARY Julian Randal Hepner April 7, 1985 – July 5, 2018 Julian Randal Hepner, age 33, departed this life unexpectedly on July 5, 2018. He was born on April 7, 1985 to his parents Debby and Craig in Long Beach, CA. Julian came into the world three months premature and left it as he arrived: too early.

He was born a fighter, and despite a tough exterior, his family and friends knew him as tender, gentle and sweet. He was profoundly committed to his large and close-knit family, especially his children Broden (age 9) and Brayah (age 4). His greatest loves in life included music, surfing, snowboarding, riding his bike in Huntington Beach, and spending time with family.

His loved ones recall his endearing smile, his ability to make people laugh, and his capacity to both charm and provoke. He is survived by a vast and loving clan, including his parents Debby Hiland Lotze of Camdenton, MO and Walter Craig Hepner of Newport Beach, CA; his stepfather Stephan Lotze; his brothers Joshua, Jeremiah, and Garrett; his sister Daniela; his son Broden, and daughter Brayah; his grandparents Jerry and Gisela Hiland and Terrence and Maxine Hepner. He is also survived by numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He will continue to live intensely in the memories and hearts of all who loved him. His Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 12, at Pacific View Mortuary at 3500 Pacific View Drive, Corona del Mar, CA 92625. The Viewing and Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service beginning at 6:00 PM.
