Obituary for June Watkins Hennington June Rice Watkins Hennington was born on November 20, 1927, in Columbia, Mississippi, to James Wiley Watkins and Lucie Rice Watkins. She went to be with her Heavenly Father on November 28, 2018. She grew up in Crystal Springs, MS, graduated from Crystal Springs Consolidated School in 1946, and attended Sunflower Community College.

A lifelong member of the Crystal Springs United Methodist Church, June loved her church and served in many different capacities such as Sunday School teacher, president of United Methodist Women, chairman of the Mary Martha Circle, and as a faithful member of the Jerry Lamar Sunday School class. Over the years, June also served as chairman of the Worship and Evangelism Committees. She was appointed and served as the Lay Delegate to the Mississippi Annual Conference and was an active participant the Crystal Springs Community Prayer Service.

In later years, June enjoyed being a part of the Golden Choir at First Baptist Church. June was a charter member of the Crystal Springs Junior Auxiliary and a member of the Floral Club. June was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Henry Hennington, her parents, and her sister, Ann Watkins Reed of Natchez, MS.

She is survived by her daughters: Marilyn Royals (Jimmy), Lucy McCormick (Eddie), Janet Davis (Paul), and Jo Ann Calcote (Clay). She is also survived by her grandchildren: Lee Ann Lutken (Jack), Katie Howe (Kyle), Carrie McCormick, Mollie Kitchens (Dan), Joe Davis (Katie), Lacey Davis, Jessy Pitts (Tim), Colin Davis (Misako), Brian Davis (Ashlei), and Justin Davis (Kasey). June is survived by twelve great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on November 30, 2018 at 11am at the Crystal Springs United Methodist Church with visitation occurring two hours prior to the service.
