OBITUARY Justin Cappiello May 22, 1993 – September 5, 2018 Justin Tyler Cappiello, May 22, 1993 – September 5, 2018 Justin touched the lives of everyone he met. He was truly a kind soul with love, compassion, dedication, intelligence and the biggest heart. There are so many adjectives to describe this incredibly handsome, loving individual.

25 years of age was not enough for him to do all the good he had planned. He had saved so many who also struggled with this horrible disease but it did not spare us our beautiful Justin. He will be forever in all of our hearts.

Justin was granted his angel wings on September 5, 2018 and he can continue his goodness from above as he watches over each and every one of us. His final days were spent surrounded by friends who loved him dearly. His family loved and supported him in every step of his life and wanted to be with him always.

He was in the process of building his business empire. He volunteered at the center daily helping others in need, including his Tuesday evening meetings that so many looked forward to attending. During his life he was passionate about so many things.

Throughout school he played ice hockey, football and lacrosse. He truly enjoyed weightlifting, boxing, motivating and coaching others and knowing all that he could about nutrition. He obtained his parachutist wings from the US Army and was one of the youngest soldiers selected after successfully completing the Special Forces Assessment and Selection (SFAS), and was later assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division.

Some of his favorite things included Hoagie Haven, Dunkin’ Donuts, Starbucks, Minnesota Vikings, his kitty and making people laugh and smile every chance he got. Justin is survived by his mother, Lisa Cappiello of Hamilton, NJ, and father Myles Cappiello and wife Dominique of Monroe, NJ, his brother Wesley and sister Skylar, of Hamilton, NJ; his grandmother Ellen Sofen-Wilens and grandfather Gilbert (pre-deceased) of Columbus, NJ and his grandfather Harvey Sofen and wife Barbara of Ft. Pierce, FL, in addition to many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The funeral is scheduled for 12:30 pm on Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Funeral Home, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, NJ 07726. Graveside services will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery 189 Gill Lane, Iselin, NJ 08830.

The family is receiving guests in their home at 42 Hamilton Lakes Dr., Hamilton, NJ 08619 immediately following the burial. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to “Scholarship Fund in memory of Justin Cappiello” c/o Into Action Recovery Centers, 17250 El Camino Real, Houston, TX 77058.
