Jones, 54, passed away on December 1, 2018, after a long battle with cancer. She was the long time partner of Terry Barnett. She was born in East St. Louis, Illinois on October 25, 1964 to Harry and Geraldine Corley, who preceded her in death.

Karen attended school in the Edwardsville school district, and was a dedicated worker in the field of customer service. Karen enjoyed having a good time with family and friends, either playing bingo or watching her beloved Golden State Warriors. She will be remembered for her immeasurable strength, courage, humor and positive -outlook on life.

She is survived by: partner – Terry Barnett; stepmother – Cheryl Corley; children – Lakesha R. Corley, Daniel L. Corley and Jullisa D. Corley (Andrew Young); siblings – Harry L. (Valarie) Corley, Maurice (Edwin) Corley, Kim D. (Melvin) Johnson, Dexter (Jackie) Corley, Bryan Corley, Christabette Corley, Jacquelyn (Vincent) Harris, Rohan Johnson and Chelsea Johnson; special friends – Dyann Bengston, Erica Enos; grand- children – Paris A. McKenney, Jada and Jayla Vaughn, JaNiyah, Ayva and Adrianna Young; as well as, a host of other family and friends. Karen was preceded in death by husband, Sammie Jones and a brother, David G. Corley.
