Karen Marie Tatman, 68, of Longview passed away at home peacefully at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday April 28, 2019 surrounded by her family. Karen was born on August 29, 1950 to Clarence W. and Helen Cler in Urbana. She married Ronald R. Tatman, Sr. on November 20, 1967 at the Faith Nazarene Church in Urbana by Rev.

Jack Jones. They were married 51 ½ years. She is survived by her husband, Ronald, three children, Susette M. Tatman of Longview, Ronald R. Tatman, Jr. of Fairmount and Charles W. Tatman (Jeanine) of Broadlands, her mother, Helen L. Cler, sisters, Doris A. Cler-Johnson (Greg) of Mahomet, Ruth E. Batley of Covington, IN, and Sandra J. Johnson (Jerry) of Ocala, FL.

She has ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Clarence W. Cler and a brother, Russell F. Cler. Karen enjoyed listening to country music, going to craft stores and antique shops and watching her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 12 noon Friday May 3 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory, 1900 Philo Rd. , Urbana with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Jerry Conner will officiate. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI), 1801 Fox Dr, Champaign, IL 61820.
