Karen’s Obituary Patterson, Karen Sue “Susie”, age 67, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019. She was born July 5, 1951 to Wayne and Jean Maxwell. A life-long Wichitan, she graduated Wichita High School North in May of 1969 and married the love of her life, Mel, in August of 1969.

She loved fishing and gambling. She is survived by her husband, Mel Patterson, of the home; son, Kevin (Shannon) Patterson; daughter, Traci (Luke) Headley; grandchildren, Keaton, Logan, Teagan and Riggs Patterson, Benjamin, Allison and Claire Headley, all of Wichita; brothers, Larry (Cindy) Maxwell of Wichita, Mark (Martha) Maxwell of Valley Center and Kurt (Sandy) Maxwell of Mulvane; brother and sister-in-laws, David (Wynona) Hackler and Gerald (Sheila) Dauber and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.

A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2019 at Cochran Mortuary Chapel of the Roses 1411 N. Broadway (Parking off Market St).
