Karin’s Obituary Karin G. Brauer, 74, of Delta, passed away peacefully, on April 28, 2019, with her loving family by her side. She was born on July 15, 1944 in Nurnberg, Germany, the daughter of George and Melitta (Fleischman) Geier. She married Chester Brauer on May 19, 1960 in Fűrth, Bay Germany.

She worked as a caregiver for Lori Knapp agency, she also worked at Munsingwear, Best Western, Brule Rod, and was a waitress and hostess for the Green Top and Rustic Roost in Iron River, WI. She retired in 2010. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Delta and the Delta Homemakers.

She enjoyed horseback riding, time with her family and grandchildren, and gardening. She is survived by her son, Chester E. Brauer Jr., and her daughter, Juella (Randy) Hoffman, four grandchildren, Michael Hoffman, Daniel Brauer, Krista Rae (James VanNess) Brauer, and MacKenzie Brauer; 2 great-grandchildren, Callie VanNess and Carson VanNess; and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband on November 23, 2009; a brother, Heinz Geier; and a sister, Getraud Netopil.

A private family memorial service will be held later. The Frost Home for Funerals is assisting the family with arrangements.
