Karo Lknepper , September 05, 1947 — March 04, 2019

Mrs. Karon L. (Sentz) Knepper, 71, of Briar Ridge Drive, Waynesboro, PA passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 4, 2019 in Mercy Medical Center, Baltimore, MD. Born September 5, 1947 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Frederick D. Sentz, Sr. and Bernice L. “Weezie” (Tarman) Sentz Biddinger. She and her husband of over 47 years, Jay L. Knepper, were married November 20, 1971 in Waynesboro.

Mrs. Knepper, who was affectionately known as “Gaggles” to many close to her, was a homemaker that enjoyed riding her scooter, flower gardening, and bird watching. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post #15, Waynesboro. In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter Kelly K. Kurtyka and her husband, Kevin of Waynesboro; three grandsons, Joshua Walker, Tyler Walker, and Spencer Kurtya; three great-grandchildren; four siblings, Larry Tarman of Chambersburg, PA, Katherine Baldwin, Frederick D. Sentz, Jr., and Randy Sentz all of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her step-father, Richard Biddinger and a son, Timothy A. Walker. Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Friday, March 8, 2019 in the Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad Street, Waynesboro, PA. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Thursday evening in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post #15, 353 S. Potomac Street, Waynesboro, PA 17268. Online condolences may be expressed at www.
