Katherine Faggart Haney, 98, of Concord, NC, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Five Oaks Manor in Concord. Mrs. Haney was born February 27, 1920 in Chase City, VA to the late Albert Luther Faggart and the late Mary Edna Faggart. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Clayton Heath Haney; brothers Paul Faggart, Marvin Faggart, Martin Faggart and Glenn Faggart; and her sister Marie Sloop.

Survivors include son Jim Haney and wife Sybil of Concord, NC; daughter Pamela Kay Culp and husband Tillman of Richfield, NC; and son David H. Haney of Concord, NC; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter; brother JB Faggart and wife Jane of Rockwell, NC; as well as several nieces and nephews. Katherine, known by her family as “Kat”, enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens. She loved her church and was involved for 71 years.

She will be truly missed by all those who knew her, as well as the staff at Five Oaks Manor. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 12:45 pm, Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 pm, officiated by Rev.

Buster Pigg and Rev. Ed Hall. Burial will take place at the Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Bethlehem Baptist Church. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Haney family. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.
