Obituary of Katherine Charvat AIKEN, SC—Katherine Theresa Charvat, age 104, entered into rest Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Mrs. Charvat was born October 15, 1914 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Edward Koutnik and the late Katherine Kucera Koutnik. She worked in banking for the Cleveland Trust Corporation.

She was a resident of the Warrenville Senior Living Center and Shadow Oaks Assisted Living Center. She and her late husband were great RV explorers. She was a member of Town and Country, the Aiken Newcomers Women’s Club, and a long-time member of the Good Sam Travel Club.

Mrs. Charvat was proud to have lived past age 100. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Charvat was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Charvat and a son, Robert Charvat. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carol Lynn Kelley and Robert Kelley; grandsons, Robert Dana Kelley (Alyce) and Derek Jon Kelley (Mary); great-grandchildren, Laura Prchal (Jan), Paul Kelley (Pamela), Amanda Blomquist (Rob), and Christopher Kelley; great-great-grandchildren, Kelley Blomquist, Emma Blomquist, Andy Prchal, and Benjamin Prchal; and a cousin, John Koutnik.
