Ripley, age 65, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton. Kathy was born on October 17, 1953 in Fond du Lac to the late Arthur and Bernice (Spice) Winkel. She graduated from Lincoln High School with class of 1972.
Kathy had worked at Mirro Corporation, Aitken Reed Corporation, Estran Corporation, Dramm Corporation and Cawley Company. On June 25, 2004, Kathy married Art Ripley in Manitowoc. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, enjoyed going to Bay Beach, county fairs, camping, playing baseball, attending family gatherings, and being in the water.
Above all, Kathy enjoyed being with her family. Survivors include Kathy’s husband, Art; two daughters, Tina Luecke and her significant other Alfonso, Manitowoc; Tara Smith, Valdosta, GA; two stepchildren, Jeremy Ripley and Sarah Ferreri, both of Manitowoc; five grandchildren, Christopher Blue, Marissa Blue, Caitlin Smith, Carlos Pina, and Miguel Dominguez; three step-grandchildren, Marayah Ferreri, Hunter Miske, and Jax Ferreri; five sisters, Eva (David) Matthies, Mary Hardrath and her significant other James Gadicke, Margaret (Russell) Holdorf, Alice (William) Mohr, and Christine Cerkas; three brothers, John (Betty) Paape, Joseph (Joan) Winkel, and Michael (Shelly) Winkel; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Bernice Winkel; son, Clint William Luecke; two brothers, James Winkel and Arthur Winkel Jr.; two sisters, Patricia Genske and Karen Williquete.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Connection Church 1455 North Rapids Road, Manitowoc with Pastor Chris Gilbert officiating. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of Kathy’s cremated remains to be at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. The family will greet relatives and friends at Connection Church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.
