West Brookfield – Kathleen D. McKay, 71, of West Brookfield died on Monday, October 15, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She leaves her wife of 14 years, Joan A. Bodessa of West Brookfield; a brother, Edward T. McKay of Feeding Hills; a sister, Laurie McKay of Worcester, two nephews, David and Kevin McKay and a niece, Kim McKay-Lunier. She was born in Springfield, daughter of the late Arthur and Rita (Curran) McKay.

She lived in Vermont and Palmer, prior to moving to West Brookfield 28 years ago. Kathleen was a self-taught copyright artist, specializing in women and using recycled materials in her art work. She loved animals and pets, always had a smile, with a great sense of humor.

Funeral Services for Kathleen will be held privately. There are no calling hours. Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., in West Brookfield is assisting her family with arrangements An online guest book is available at varnumfuneralhome.com.
