FULLERTON—Kathleen I. Fetrow, 48, of Central City, formerly of Fullerton, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha after a five month stay. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2019 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Fullerton with Reverend David Fulton officiating. A private family inurnment will be at a later date at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Fullerton.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 8th from 5-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. scripture service at Palmer-Santin Funeral Home in Fullerton. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home is serving the family. Kathy was born June 3, 1970 to Francis and Suzanne (Zwiener) Macke at Fullerton.

She was born the same day, but four years apart from her sister, Pam. She graduated from Fullerton High School in 1989. On November 17, 1995, she gave birth to her daughter, Amanda Jess, against all odds due to her health conditions.

On October 4, 1996, she married Ricky Fetrow and began their life together in Fullerton. After many heart surgeries and complications, she had a heart transplant in February 2014. She was able to watch her daughter graduate high school in May 2014.

She lived a happy life for five years with a new heart before her body started to reject it and she went to be with the Lord and her father. She liked to paint ceramic statues. She dearly loved animals, especially dogs.

She loved reading and history and was always known to remember dates off the top of her head. She loved spending time with her daughter and adopted her friends as her own children. She is survived by her daughter, Amanda and fiancé, Tyler Babb, of Central City; her mother, Sue Macke of Central City; brother, brother, Andy (Gidget) Macke of Newcastle, WY; sister, Pam Deaver of Central City; nieces and nephews, Kaitlin and Brooklin Macke and Jerrod Deaver.

She is preceded in death by her father, Mac Macke and her grandparents, Frank and Irene Macke and Antoine and Frances Zwiener. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Kathleen I. Fetrow please visit our Sympathy Store.
