Obituary for Kathleen “Kathy” Mitchell Private Graveside services for Kathleen “Kathy” Mitchell, 82, of Gilmer will be held at 2:00 p.m. December 3, 2018 at Rosewood Cemetery with Bro. Charles Johnson officiating. Services are under the direction of McWhorter Funeral Home.

There will be no formal visitation. Kathy was born on June 6, 1936, in Dickinson, North Dakota to Louis and Ellen Conlon Metz and passed from this life on November 30, 2018 in Gilmer, Texas. Kathy married Tom Mitchell on August 27, 1955 in Glendive, Montana and he survives.

She worked in management at JC Penney in Longview until her retirement. She was a member of Rosewood Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Tom Mitchell; son, Robert Mitchell; daughters, Robbie Cowling and Carol Stillwagoner; grandchildren, Blake Stillwagoner, Shelby Harris, Chris Cowling, Lauren Mitchell and Hadley Mitchell.
