Formerly of Antigo and Greendale, WI peacefully lost her battle from Alzheimer’s at the age of 78 years, on January 4, 2019 with her family at her side. Kitty was born in Stevens Point to the late Henry “Tiny” and Margaret (nee Donermeyer) Bannach on January 24, 1940. She grew up in Antigo and graduated from Holy Cross High School in Merrill.

She continued on to receive her nursing degree from Marian University in Fond du Lac. Kitty was a public health nurse for the City of Milwaukee. She met… Read More » her husband Tom, a teacher, while being the school nurse at Boys Tech.

They were married on November 18, 1972. Kitty then worked for the VNA and was instrumental in establishing their flu shot program. She later developed and ran Health Services for students, faculty and staff at MSOE.

Kitty is survived by her husband Tom; 3 children Henry (Lauren) Schuler of Arlington Heights, IL, Peggy (Shawn) Brokaw of Appleton, WI and Mary (Mark) Menzel of Madison, WI; 5 grandchildren Lizzie, Alex, Sammy, Frankie and Dylan. Also surviving is her sister Mary (Dr. Michael) Stevens of Marshfield, WI. We would like to greatly thank Century Oaks of Appleton and Heartland Health Care for the empathy, care and support they provided our family.

Visitation Thursday, January 10, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Church (8500 W. Coldspring Rd. ) 2PM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 4PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the VNA, MSOE or the Alzheimer’s Association of Wisconsin appreciated.
