In Loving Memory of Kathleen Mary Dollander Kathleen Dollander was born on April 30, 1923 on the family farm near Lismore, Minnesota to John and Rosina Krogman Fath. In 1925 the family moved to a farm near St. Kilian, MN and in 1933 they moved to a farm near Lismore, MN, where Kathleen attended St. Anthony’s Catholic School. Kathleen helped her mother raise her twin siblings, Janet and Jerome.

She also worked at Jensen’s Café in Lismore and did housekeeping for area families. On June 2, 1943 she and Virgil Dollander were married at St. Anthony’s Church in Lismore. Following their marriage they farmed the Dollander family farm near Magnolia, MN and in 1968 they moved to a farm in Lake Shetek Township, Murray County, MN.

Kathleen worked at Valhalla Ballroom for 12 years. She then went to work for Lincoln, Lyon, Murray and Pipestone County as a Home Health Aide for 20 years. In 1982 they built a new home and moved to Slayton, MN.

In 1994 Kathleen started working for Murray County Hospice in Slayton as a Home Health Aide. She remained at Hospice until 2005 when she retired at the age of 85. In 2007 they moved to Sunrise Terrace Apartments in Slayton.

Virgil passed away on March 30, 2008. In 2018 Kathleen moved to Lindenwood Assisted Living and in 2019 she became a resident of the Slayton Rehabilitation and Health Care Center where she passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019 at the age of 95. She was member of St. Ann’s Church in Slayton.

Kathleen enjoyed spending time with her family, dancing, playing cards, traveling, listing to old time music and the occasional trip to Royal River Casino. Survivors include her four children and their spouses, Lowell and Shelly Dollander of Martinez, GA, Gene and Glenda Dollander of Evans, GA, Becky and Rich Luft of Currie, MN, and Tim and Jackie Dollander of Newport Beach, CA, 10 grandchildren, Mike, Brian, Todd, Chad Dollander, Sara Zuwiyya, Liz Giltner, Ryan Luft, Ashley Okerlund, Mackenzie and Morgan Dollander, 22 great-grandchildren and one sister, Rita and Jay McCann of Colorado Springs, CO. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Virgil, son, Terry Dollander, daughter, Gwen Giltner and her husband, Larry, granddaughter, Teri Luft, and three siblings and their spouses, Celester “Tiny” and Mary Fath, Jerome “Jerry” and Pat Fath, and Janet and Art Reinsma.

Funeral Services St. Ann’s Church in Slayton, MN on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Thien Nguyen and Fr. David Krogman officiating.

The organist is Kathy Mitchell. The song leader is Sheila Crowley. The pallbearers are her grandchildren.

Interment is at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Slayton, MN. Visitation will be on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at the Totzke Funeral Home in Slayton from 4-6 p.m. with a rosary at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the services at the church on Monday.
