Obituary for Kathleen Sekeras Kathleen “Kate” Cheryl Dyer Sekeras Age 61, of Cheswick, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, surrounded by family and friends. She is survived by her son, Daniel (Stephanie) Sekeras of Raleigh, NC; two grandchildren, Olivia and James Sekeras; Uncle Robert (Deb) Carnahan of Gibsonia, PA; siblings; Dana Dyer of Hoboken, NJ, Deborah Dyer of Largo, FL, Colleen Monk (Richard) Fox of Harwick, PA and Thomas Dyer of St. Louis, MO. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Mark Breyak, Lisa Z. Breyak, Daniel (Mary) Breyak, Lauree Austin, Sarah Mihelcic and Shannon Saracena; seven grandnieces and nephews; and two great-grandnieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Dyer. Kate loved and wrote poetry. She adored Don Henley and Bruce Springsteen.

She also loved her cats, leaving behind Samson who will be adopted by her great-niece Jane and her fiancée, Tom. She was a life long Steelers fan. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Bridges Hospice, 515 Pleasant Valley Road, Trafford, PA 15085, with “Kate Sekeras” in the memo field.
