Kathleen Sue Horne Kathy went home to her loving Father in Heaven on October 14, 2018. Kathy was born on March 3, 1950 to James Jr. & Hilva Horne. After graduating from High School, she married Michael Wilson and had two sons, Brandon & Kirby.

After divorcing Michael, she married Daniel Chavez and had a daughter, Kayleen. Her children were the light of her life; she was a loving mother that cared deeply about each one of her children. Her empathy and humor had no bounds.

She was also very caring of and friendly to others, from the children that attended her child day care center, to the patients that visited the physician offices where she worked. She was loved by many family members and friends, from her church congregation, to the fellow residents at Rocky Mountain Care. Most of all, she was very proud of what each of her children had done with their lives, and extremely happy to have been a grandmother.

Kathleen is survived by her ex-husband Daniel Chavez, son Brandon (Martha) Wilson, son Kirby (Adrienne) Wilson, brother Robert (Gloria) Horne, nephew Jim Overy, niece Kris Jakeman , niece Michelle Bossert, nephew Michael Horne, granddaughters Laina Bleu, Arminda, & Evangeline, grandsons Colton, Derek, & Dustin. She was preceded in death by her parents James Jr. & Hilva Horne, sister Karolyn Overy, daughter Kayleen Montanez, and nephew Josh Jakeman. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 20th, at the Evanston City Cemetery.

The family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
