Kathryn (Kathy, Kat) Ann Kluska, 69, went home to be with her Lord surrounded by her beloved family, Sunday, April 28 after an inspiring battle against cancer. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, friend. She was defined first by her faith and a close second by her devotion to her adored family.

She faced everything with honor and order. She had an impressive life of accomplishments and everyone who knew her, marveled at her strength and the exceptional quality of everything that she did. Kathryn was born June 16, 1949 at Lincoln, NE the daughter of Charles and Roberta (Smith) Hall.

She graduated from Lincoln Southeast High School class of 1968. She received her Bachelors’ in Fashion Merchandising from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1972. On June 1, 1973 she was united in marriage to John Kluska.

The couple moved to Grand Island in 1985. Kathryn served as a store manager for Casual Corner. She became a Realtor and then was employed by ATI Title Company.

She then went to work for First National Bank as a Commercial Loan Processor. As a devoted professional, she loved her work. Some of her passions were being a talented seamstress, working cross-stich and loved being a leader as a Stephen Ministries with Trinity United Methodist Church.

She was an avid fisherman and loved time spent over the years at their cabin at Harlan County Reservoir. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, John; sons, Justin (Kim) Kluska of Grand Island and Taylor Kluska of Portland, OR; grandchildren, Daniel Kluska and Damien (Erica Treffer) Kluska; great-granddaughter, Hazel Rose Kluska; her mother, Roberta Watson of Grand Island; sister, Patty (Jon) Enevoldsen of Custer, SD; brother, Charles (Ann) Hall of Marietta, Georgia and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father.
