Kathryn Anne Wilcox, our beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter and nana, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2019 in her home surrounded by her family. She courageously survived breast cancer in 2013 and valiantly fought it’s return in 2017 with grace and dignity. Kathryn was born July 17, 1959 in Cheyenne, WY.

She grew up in a beautiful and loving home created by her parents, Shirley Anne Corbett and Frank Perry Russell, Jr, along with her four siblings. She graduated from Manhattan Academy, a private school in Jackson, MS, and then continued to Brigham Young University for several more years. Family was of the utmost importance to Kathryn and she loved being a mother.

Her passion and delight came from caring and providing for her children. In 1993, Kathryn was introduced to her husband, Jerold, by her sister. Two years later they were sealed for time and eternity in the Manti, Utah temple on May 26, 1995.

She continued to build a wonderful home for her family, welcoming everyone with warmth and open arms. Kathryn worked hard throughout her life. She worked for family as an Accountant for over 10 years and then became Controller for nearly 20 years at Kencraft, Inc in Alpine, UT.

She retired for a short period of time and then went back to work at TruFru, Inc until it became too difficult to continue with her cancer treatments. Kathryn always stayed active and busy. She loved to travel the world with her husband.

Among her favorite places were Maui, Paris, and most recently Scotland and Ireland. She loved her family and enjoyed activities with them, especially her grandchildren. Kathryn’s top priority was to serve and care for others.

No matter her condition, she always put others before herself serving with dignity and compassion. She excelled in her church callings as a Young Women’s Stake and Ward Leader, Primary Teacher and most recently Relief Society President. She devoted herself to being kind to all those around her and constantly exemplified Christlike love.

This love will live on in the many people whose lives she touched, especially her children and grandchildren. Kathryn is preceded in death by her mother and her brother, Phillip. She is survived by her husband, Jerold; children, Josh, Sarah (Kerry), Anna and Amanda; grandchildren, Mason, Tanner, Mackenzie and Emma Anne; father, Frank Perry; sister, Sandy (Norm), and brothers, Vance and Craig.

Her family would like to give special thanks to Dr. William Nibley along with other doctors, nurses and staff of Utah Cancer Specialists. Additional thanks to many friends and neighbors, including the Golden Meadows 2nd Ward for many hours of heartfelt service. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Riverton Utah South Stake Building, 13400 South 3113 West, Riverton, UT.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday evening, May 16th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Cannon Mortuary, 2460 East Bengal Blvd (7600 South), and at the stake building on Friday morning from 10:00 to 10:45 am prior to services.
