Obituary Service Details Kathryn Lynn (Nicholas) Banks, age 67 of Olney passed away at 8:30 PM on Friday, May 10, 2019 at her home. Kathy worked in nursing homes taking care of people, & after she could no longer work she enjoyed being with family, drinking coffee, thrift store shopping, reading, crossword puzzles, flowers, plants, her fish pond, frogs & red birds. Kathy was born on February 29, 1952 in Olney, the daughter of Elmer H. Nicholas & Eva J. Garret which preceded her in death.

Kathy was also preceded in death by: her son: Jamey G. Nicholas, brothers: William (Bill) Nicholas, Robert D. Nicholas, Samual H. Nicholas, Elmer (Bud) Nicholas & Bruce A. Nicholas. She is survived by: Mary Ditch of Olney, Kay & Dwayne Warner of St. Marie, Judy & Daryl Tichy of Orem, UT, Jeff Nicholas Olney, David & Victoria Banks of Findlay, IL, Glenn Banks of Granite City, IL, & Lacey Hensley of Olney; grandchildren: Elmer Nicholas, Jaime Nicholas, Elizabeth Nicholas, Kaitlyn Nicholas, Roland Banks, Stephen Banks, Perrin Banks, Simon Banks, Adara Banks, Tanis Banks, Exavier Elder and Sofia Elder; and great-grand daughter Evelyn Nicholas. Funeral service will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 2 hours prior to service time. Burial will be at South Bend Cemetery in rural Jasper County. President Brown will be officiating.
