OBITUARY Kathryn Schultz September 19, 1925 – July 14, 2018 Schultz, Kathryn A. (Kay) was born in Birmingham, AL on August 19, 1925. Kay spent most of her life in Chicagoland area until recently when she moved to Glastonbury, CT to be closer to family. Kay passed away at Hartford Hospital on July 14, 2018 from natural causes.

She was predeceased by her doting and loving husband, Arthur Schultz and eldest son, Richard. Kay is survived by her son Dennis, of Marlborough, his wife Jo; Richard’s wife Janet, of Bakersfield, CA. , granddaughter Sarah, of Hartford, her husband, Michael; grandson, Andrew, of Norwich, and his fiancé Angela; Evalee and Richard, of Bakersfield, CA.

In addition her great-grandchildren Charlotte and Annabelle, of Hartford; Camryn and Jordyn, of Norwich. Kay was predeceased by her great grandson, Henry. Kay is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews extending from coast to coast who she loved very much.

In her retirement, Kathryn loved to play cards, read, travel, watch movies, and spend time with her family. Kay was known to enjoy a trip to the casino and enjoy an occasional vodka tonic. Kay was a fixture at family vacations & holiday celebrations from Mount Rushmore to the North Carolina coast.

Kay saw to every item on her to-do list and was quick to pick up a gadget if she thought it would make someone’s life easier. Kay loved to share stories of growing up in Chicago and being welcomed into Arthur’s large and loving family. She took great pleasure in watching her great grandkids helping themselves to her many candy jars.

Kay was generous, independent and most happy spending time with family and friends. Kay celebrated her family’s achievements and accomplishments. Kay’s legacy was her unconditional love of family and wide circle of friends.
