Obituary of Kathryn Fairburn Fairburn, Kathryn M (nee Fowler), age 100, passed away on June 4, 2018 at Voorhees Center, Voorhees, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, PA on November 18, 1917 to the late Stacy and Mary McDowell Fowler. She lived in Kensington until she married and moved to NE Philadelphia and then to the Villas permanently in 1976 after buying the house as a summer home in 1947.

She enjoyed singing, reading, sewing and going to the beach. She was a past member of the Senior Citizens of North Cape May. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert F. Fairburn (March 15, 1994).

Kathryn is survived by her daughters Ruth Kingrea (Robert, Deceased) and Eileen Goessel (Charles), grandchildren Robin Yarnall (Steven, deceased), Robert Kingrea, Kimberly Knopf (Robert), Kevin Kingrea (Candy), Charles Goessel (Rebecca) and Jeffrey Goessel (Jill), 11 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great-great grandchild. We want to thank all the nurses, caregivers, restorative and recreation staff at Voorhees Center, especially Unit 2, for the wonderful care and love they gave our mom. Also, we want to thank the Serenity Hospice Care staff for helping us get through these last several months.

Services for Kathryn will be held at 2pm on Saturday, June 9th, 2018 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, N Cape May, NJ; friends may call one hour prior to service, from 1pm – 2pm. A burial will immediately precede service at Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 13 W Bates Ave, Villas, NJ 08251 or to Genesis Voorhees Center – Recreation Department, 3001 Evesham Rd, Voorhees, NJ 08043.
