Kathleen Gail Weyers Appleton, WI- Kathleen Gail Weyers, 65, of Appleton passed away suddenly and peacefully May 20, 2019 with family by her side. Kathy was born May 11, 1954 in St Paul, Minnesota. She married Gerald “Jerry” Weyers on September 27, 1975 while continuing her education at U.W.-River Falls.

Kathy’s gift was teaching students music in private and public settings through multiple school systems in the Fox Valley. She taught the arts of piano, voice, flute, guitar, bass guitar, and recorder. Kathy was also a member of many bands over the years including her final two-piece band, Live Weyers, for the last 31 years with the love of her life, Jerry Weyers.

They played in many circuits including church events, weddings, funerals, parties, reunions, assisted living homes. Kathy’s piano playing, humor, and beautiful singing will be fondly remembered and missed by all. Kathy is preceded in death by her father Robert Browne, father-in-law Francis Weyers, mother-in-law Florence Weyers, and is survived by her mother Gladys “Chili” Browne, husband of 43 years Jerry Weyers, son Luke (Rebekkah) Weyers, sister Paula(Scott) Granzow, Brothers Roger and Steve Browne, Sisters-in-Law Connie(Mike) Konkle, Mary(Jerry) Kavanaugh, and Sandy Weyers(Guy Gherman), Brothers-in-Law, George(Jean), Marty(Marcy), and Dave(Cheryl) Weyers, and her two grandchildren, Rose and Leo Weyers.

Friends and family are welcome to join in celebrating Kathy’s life with a visitation held at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home FREEDOM LOCATION, N3972 Columbia Ave. , Freedom, on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at Appleton Alliance Church, 2693 Grand Chute Blvd, Appleton, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. For online condolences, please visit www. verkuilenfh.com.
