Obituary for Kathy Lynn Waites Talladega-Kathy Lynn Waites, 52, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018. The family will receive friends at Talladega Funeral Home on Friday, October 5, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The memorial service will be announced at a later date. Mrs. Waites was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith and was a member at Cherry Street Church of God for 30 years.

She taught the early education children, was a media coordinator, and the Lady Ministries Treasurer. She loved God and her church, but her pride and joy was her son, “Sawyer”. Mrs. Waites is survived by her husband, Samuel Waites; son, Sawyer Waites; father, Franklin D. Otwell, Sr; mother, Lavinia Edwards Otwell; brothers, Frank D. Otwell, Jr. and his wife, Debbie, and Arlen Otwell and his wife, Kim; and nephew, Franklin D. “Trae” Otwell, III and his wife, Sarah.
