Kathy Sue Ray, 66, of Moberly, passed away May 14, 2019 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born May 4, 1953 to Wyman and Shirley (Marquardt) Ray. Kathy worked for Wal-Mart as a checker for 20 years.

Kathy had a great love for pets, especially her dog, Snowball. Survivors include her father, a sister Patty Smith of Fordland, MO, two nieces, Kristy Ellison of Columbia, MO and Autumn Stalker of Fordland, MO, five great-nephews, Britton Ellison of Columbia, MO, Hayden, Samson, and Barik Stalker of Fordland, MO. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley, in 2012.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Second Chance No Kill Animal Shelter would be appreciated. Words of comfort and support may be shared with the family at the visitation, which will be, Wednesday, May 22, 2019, 11am to 1pm at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel. Services honoring and celebrating Kathy’s life will follow at 1pm.

Committal prayers and burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
