Obituary of Kay Mackey Kay Mackey, 57, left us on June 16th 2018 with her wife and friends by her side in Manhattan, New York. Kay was born September 14, 1960 in Chicago Heights, Illinois to Richard and Elsie Mackey. The family migrated to Long Island, New York in 1962.

Kay graduated from Harborfields High School, and received a Bachelor’s degree from George Washington University, a Law degree from New York Law, as well as a Library degree from Pratt Institute. She worked at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law Library. Kay spent her life in the pursuit of travel, culture, knowledge and most importantly fun.

She is survived by her wife Jess, her brothers Brian (Colleen) and Craig (June), as well as her many nieces and nephews and loving friends who were also part of her family. Go out and do a good deed. Make the world a better place because you are here.

Look at the shapes in the clouds and smile. Live your life to the fullest. It’s what Kay did.

Services will be held at the Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home, at 5 Laurel Ave Northport, NY 11768 on Wednesday June 20th from 7-9 PM, and Thursday June 21st at 11 AM.
