Obituary for Keith E. Smith Keith E Smith aged 68 peacefully departed this earthly life on January 12, 2019 after a brief illness. Keith was born in October of 1950 in Watertown, New York to Kenneth Sr (d. 1994) and Margaret Trivett Smith (d.

2014). He was a Mohonasen High School graduate who went on to obtain a degree in Civil Engineering. Keith enjoyed his career at IBM in Poughkeepsie until his retirement.

An additional and concurring life career was volunteering for the New Hamburg Fire Department in Wappingers Falls NY for over 30 years being always ready to assist his community. In his spare time, Keith enjoyed coaching little league softball, golfing, cheering on his beloved Yankees, attending his daughter’s dance recitals and promoting his son’s baseball games. Keith and his family traveled often, visiting most of our states including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.

On June 3rd 1972 Keith was united in marriage with the love of his life, Nancy Ann Ciupek until her untimely death after only 34 years of joy together. Keith and Nancy had two children, Gregg (Elizabeth) and Casey (Eric) who gave him four grandchildren, Georgia, Nathan, Levi and Kaitlyn. Keith is also survived by his 4 siblings Kenneth Jr (Kathleen), Karen (Richard), Kathy Ann and Kirk.

Those siblings blessed us with 9 cherished nieces and nephews. Public visitation and viewing will be at Delehanty Funeral Home on 64E Main Street in Wappingers Falls New York on Sunday evening January 20th from 4:00pm till 7:00pm. Graveside services will be private to the immediate and extended family.
