Kenneth Aaron Monroe, Sr., 75, of Scotland, died suddenly on Saturday, October 27. A funeral service will be held at 11:00A.M., Thursday, November 1, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

A committal service will be held at 4:00P.M., Thursday at Riverside Memorial Park, Jacksonville, FL. A native of Macon, Mr. Monroe was the son of the late William W. and Ruthie Flanders Monroe and was married to the late Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Moody Monroe. A truck driver for most of his life, he was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Baldwin, FL, and attended McRae Church of God.

Survivors include his children, Aaron Monroe and Tammy (Larry) Howell, both of Baldwin, FL; brothers, Ronald J. (Gail) Monroe of Milan, Thomas N. Monroe of Scotland and Gary E. (Julana) Monroe of Macon; a grandchild, Amanda Maulsby of Jacksonville, FL and seven great-grandchildren.
