OBITUARY Kenneth Callanan September 12, 1950 – September 13, 2018 KENNETH CALLANAN passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Centra State Medical Center, Freehold. He was 68. Born in Summit, he lived in Middle before moving to Monroe Twp.

in 2008. A graduate of Monmouth University, he was a Microbiologist for the Waksman Institute at Rutgers University, Piscataway, for over 40 years. Mr. Callanan was predeceased by his father, George.

Surviving are his beloved children: Courtney, Jacob and Benjamin Callanan, his mother Bertha Callanan, his brothers Richard Callanan and his wife Liz, Doug Callanan, and James Callanan and his wife Vicki, and his sister Kim Reiley and her husband Mike, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Bloomfield Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, followed by burial at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Temple Beth Shalom Religious School, 108 Freehold Road, Manalapan, NJ 07726 FAMILY Courtney Callanan, Daughter Jacob Callanan, Son Benjamin Callanan, Son Bertha Paige Callanan, Mother George Callanan, Father Richard (Liz) Callanan, Brother Doug Callanan, Brother James (Vicki) Callanan, Brother Kim (Mike) Reiley, Sister Mr. Callanan is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
