OBITUARY Kenneth Ebaugh July 24, 1951 – January 28, 2019 Kenneth Sherwood Ebaugh, age 67 of Birmingham passed away on January 28, 2019. Kenneth was born in Birmingham, |Alabama on July 24th 1951; the son of the late Reverend John Lynn Ebaugh III and Joy Richard Ebaugh. Kenneth recently retired as a Vice President of Regions bank.

He is survived by: wife, Sally McNeill Ebaugh, MD; daughter, Lulie DeBardeleben Ebaugh (Victor Chin, MD) of Rome, Georgia; grandson, Victor DeBardeleben Chin of Rome Georgia; sisters, Lynn Ebaugh, MD of Memphis, Tennessee, Jennifer Ebaugh Collins (David) of Cleveland, Alabama; and Karen Ebaugh Lamb (Frank) of Boulder, Colorado. He attended St. Stephens Episcopal church in Vestavia Hills. Kenneth believed strongly in public service and served proudly as a Past President of the Kiwanis Club of Homewood and Mountain Brook where he was a member for over 40 years.

He received the prestigious George F. Hixon Fellowship which recognizes people who have contributed significantly to Kiwanis’ history of generosity. He was also a member of the Ensley Rotary and other civic organizations for many years. Kenneth graduated from Birmingham-Southern College in 1973, where he was a member of Theta Chi fraternity, and obtained an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1979.

He was a firm believer in continuing education, he was the first person in 21 years to win both the Highest Grade Award and the BankSim Presidents’ Award from the Alabama School of Banking in 1996.
