Flanders: Kenneth “Ken” Gardner, 64, passed away suddenly on Friday, January 18, 2019 at his home. Ken was born in Dover to the late Henry A. Gardner and Helen M. (nee Calvert) and lived in Wharton until moving to the Flanders section of Mt. Olive Twp.

in 1984. From the time he was little, he knew he wanted to be an auto mechanic. Ken was a Master Auto Mechanic for Gearhart Chevrolet of Denville for many years before owning his own repair shop in Landing, K & D Automotive, specializing in Mercedes and BMWs.

Even after retirement, he still worked on friends cars. If it had a motor, he could fix it! Ken enjoyed drag racing his ‘67 Chevy Nova, especially at Island Dragway.

He was a member of the National Hot Rod Association. He competed in Super Stock Eliminators and NHRA bracket series. Survived by his wife of 35 years, Donna (nee Przybyzewski).

Sister: Marian Ballard and husband Don of Mine Hill. Cousin: A. Jane Calvert-Gares who was like a sister, of Chester. In-Laws: Peter of Great Meadows.

Joseph and wife Leslie of Alabama. Jeanette Keyworth and husband Walter of Dover and their son Dakota of Mine Hill. Also survived by many cousins and life-long friends.

Wherever a beautiful soul has been there is a trail of beautiful memories. Please join us to celebrate the life of Ken Gardner. Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 12 Noon – 4pm at Canal House Restaurant, 44 Kossuth Street, Wharton, NJ.
