Kenneth Ruis, age 73, of Plant City passed away on October 22, 2018. A native of Plant City, Florida, he was the son of the late Fred and Pearl Hicks Ruis. Survivors include wife: Vivian Ruis son: Joseph (Faith) Ruis grandsons: Aaron and Brandon, siblings: Evelyn Johnson, Charlotte Britt, Jimmy (Rachel) Ruis, sister in law: Loretta Ruis.

Ken was also preceded in death by his brothers: Richard and William Ruis. Kenneth was a member of the First Baptist Church of Plant City, worked for Badcock Furniture and Watkins Trucking as a computer programmer. He enjoyed woodworking and motorcycle riding, he was a member of the D.A.V., American Legion, Plant City Lions Club, and was a scout leader with the Boy Scouts of America.

Ken was a Veteran of The United States Air Force. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Haught Funeral Home Chapel, 708 W. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd. , Plant City, FL 33563.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday at New Hope at The Cornerstone Church in Plant City. Online condolences may be left for the family at www. haught.
