Kenneth McNeil, 88, died May 1, 2018. He was born June 26, 1929 in Darby, NC to the late Nelia Paralee Triplett and George Franklin McNeil. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1946-1950 and soon after came to live in Ohio.

He had worked at Babcock and Wilcox in Barberton and for many years worked as a barber, mostly at his Wilbeth Road barbershop in Akron, Ohio. He leaves his wife, Donna J. McNeil; two daughters, Sheila Jacobs and her husband Paul Jacobs of N. Attleboro MA, and Sara McNeil of Doylestown, OH; and two grandchildren, Jonathan Jacobs and Jennah Jacobs of MA. He also leaves many brothers and sisters, Catherine Eller, Charles McNeil, George Thomas McNeil, Shirley Johnson (deceased), Eula Dean Hyatt, Elizabeth Marley, Ike McNeil (deceased), Judy Church, Dennis Andrew McNeil, Stenna Payne, Jeanette Edminston, Rebecca Hamby, and Henry McNeil.

Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Rd. , Norton, OH 44203 on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank Summa Hospice for the wonderful care given to Ken at home, and also to Home Instead.
