Obituary for Kenneth Nelson McFarland Print Kenneth Nelson McFarland, age 80 of Mt. Sterling, husband of Judith Barnes McFarland, died on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Bourbon Heights after an extended illness. Kenneth was born on September 02, 1938 in Montgomery County, the son of the late Ollie and Genevieve Sponcil McFarland.

He was a graduate of Camargo High School in Montgomery County and retired from IBM having worked as a tool and die maker for 19 year. He was also a house builder, former PTA President, longtime farmer, deacon and member of North Middletown Christian Church. Besides his wife Judith, he is survived by their three children, Jenny (Chuck) Hill, Todd (Lisa) McFarland, Dr. Bart (Pam) McFarland, six grandchildren, Seth Hill, Chelsea McFarland Jacobson, Alex McFarland, Kyle Hill, Houston McFarland, Hagan McFarland and two great grandsons, James Walker Jacobson and Brooks Clay Jacobson.

Also surviving is one sister, Fay Hoskins. The funeral service for Kenneth Nelson McFarland will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. at North Middletown Christian Church with Rev. Stephanie Moon officiating.

Interment will follow in North Middletown Cemetery with casket bearers being Seth Hill, Kyle Hill, Alex McFarland, Houston McFarland, Brandon Jacobson, Mark Bishop and Chuck Hill. The family request visitation prior to the service on February 19, 2019 at North Middletown Christian Church beginning at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to North Middletown Christian Church, PO Box 43, North Middletown, KY 40357 or Alzheimer’s Association, 2808 Palumbo Dr. # 205, Lexington, KY 40509. www.
