OBITUARY Kenneth Pettijohn September 18, 1937 – September 28, 2018 Kenneth Pettijohn, age 81, of Westlake, Louisiana passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family on Friday September 28, 2018. Kenneth was born September 18, 1937 in Forrester, Arkansas. Kenneth graduated from Westlake High School in 1956 and went on to serve in the US Air Force.

He retired after 38 years of employment at Firestone. He was an avid reader and enjoyed driving and showing off his 1965 Mustang. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed greatly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne S. and Dellora Pettijohn, brothers, Wayne F. and Alan W. Pettijohn, and sisters, Ruth Janice Walker and Billie Jo Chisolm. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife, of 59 years, Beverly Pettijohn of Westlake; daughters, Terri McLeod (Randy) of Lake Arthur and Denise Caraway (Kelly) of Westlake; son, Kenneth “Dwayne” Pettijohn (Lori) of Tucson, Arizona; nine grandchildren, Cody Bergeaux, Audrey Pousson(Luke), Ariel, Ethan, KC, and Avery Caraway, Whitney, Lindsey, and Tyler Pettijohn; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Hixson Funeral Chapel in Moss Bluff.

Burial will follow in Westlake Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Margaret Catholic School in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
