Kenneth R. Bean, 75, of Franklin, passed away February 15, 2019 at the Oil City Healthcare and Rehab after a period of illness. He was born in Franklin on January 9, 1944, and his parents were the late Robert I. and Helen Dick Bean. Ken married Donna Ayers December 10, 1971 and she survives.

He lived in Franklin for many years then moved out to Arizona and had worked for 20 years as a Custodial Supervisor for the Amphitheater School District before returning to the area. Ken was a veteran and served for the United States Army. He enjoyed flying small planes and he was a member of the local Flying Club.

Ken also liked to bowl, fish, and play guitar. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 children; Donald Bean of Franklin and Michelle McClain of Franklin. A step son Thomas Reynolds of Rockland, and 4 Grandchildren and 3 Greatgrandchildren.

He is also survived by his siblings Cheryl Bean of Franklin, Sandy Kenner and husband Jimmie of Franklin, Larry Bean and wife Betty of Phoenix, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and lastly he’s good friend Mattie. Proceeding Ken in death is his brother Robert Bean Jr. and a niece Debbie Sue Keener. There will be a private service at the family’s convenience.

Memorials may be made out to the Kirtland Cancer Foundation. The Reinsel Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be sent at www.
