A homegoing celebration for Kenneth “Scooter” Foster James of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Friday, October 26, 2018 will be held Saturday, November 10th 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of College Hill 3838 N 29th St, Rev. S. Evans Burrows, pastor with a local minister officiating. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park.

Kenneth “Scooter” Foster James was born February 25, 1960 in Tampa, Florida. He attended the local schools of Hillsborough County. He worked various construction jobs which included painting, roofing and remodeling houses.

He also loved to fish and was a master on the grill. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Nathan; father, Robert L. James. Sr.; sister, Terri L. James; grandparents, Samuel and Beulah Joyner and Andrew, Sr. and Fannie James.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his children, Kevin James (Valerie) and LeMonte James; grandchildren, Kiya, Sage, Suri, Maya and Makayha; mother, Pearlie M. James; brothers, Robert Jr., Leonard (Paula), Reginald (Dee); sisters, Bridget James, Tarita Williams (John) and Harriett Gordon (James); aunts, Juanita McCloud, Cassandra James and Mary James; uncles, Talmage, Nathaniel, Ralph Joyner (Martha) and Wilson James; a host of other relatives and friends that will miss him. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home Friday, November 9th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
