He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Katherine Vermeer. Kevin was a graduate of Pellla Community High School in Iowa.

He was a veteran of the United States Marines Corps. Kevin was a member of Enlighten Christian Reform in Iowa. Survivors include his wife, Judy Vermeer; his children, Caleb Vermeer and Monica (Garland) Burks;grandson, Jayden Burks; siblings, Brad, Doug and Dwight Vermeer and, Paulette Van Corp; and extended family.

Graveside service will be 10:00 am Monday, December 17, 2018 at Arkansas State Veteran Cemetery, North Little Rock. Guest registry is at www. carriganmemorial.com.
