DALLAS, TX – Kevin Grayson Villines, 44 of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Benton, Arkansas, unexpectedly died Friday, May 4 at his home in Dallas. He was born on May 24, 1973, in Little Rock. Kevin was a 1991 graduate of Benton High School and a 1996 double business major graduate at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.

His passions in life were his family, followed by an unmatched love for music, movies, the Arkansas Razorbacks, St. Louis Cardinals, and fantasy baseball. Kevin is survived by his loving wife, Kara Nekuza Villines, and their two beautiful children Anna Elizabeth, 10 and Audrey Claire, 4; his parents James E. and Jeannie G. Villines of Benton; brothers Chris (Tonya) and Chance (Monica) Villines also of Benton. He is also survived by his parents-in-law Bill & Cheryl Nekuza of Mabank, TX; sisters-in-law Joy Nekuza Smith (Matt) of Midlothian, TX and Emily Nekuza Herbertson (Jon) of Mabank, TX.

He is also survived by his aunt, Carolyn Mahady, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and his first cousin, Andrea Price, of New Orleans, Louisiana. He has many wonderful nieces and nephews: Trevor Villines, Ali Grace Villines, Madden Villines, Eliette Villines, Ryder Smith, Rustin Smith and Maxx Herbertson, who all doted on their gregarious and playful uncle and will fondly remember his Scooby Doo & Donald Duck impressions. Kevin had a tremendous wit and made all those around him laugh and find humor in things.

He overcame many obstacles to become a devoted family man and incredibly patient father. His favorite prayer, the serenity prayer, guided him in this devotion. He loved his two little girls with all of his heart.

It is fitting that Kevin, being a huge Star Wars fan, passed away on May the Fourth. A celebration of Kevin’s life will be held Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at the Walnut Hill United Methodist Church at 10066 Marsh Lane in Dallas Texas, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Kara, Anna and Audrey Villines gofundme.com page to help the family through this difficult stage.

Kevin, you have given us all great hope and love, and we will cherish the memories we have made…and we will hold you in our hearts until we are together again.
