He was born in Hartford on October 30, 1957, the son of the late Captain Joseph James Yungk and Doris Roy Yungk. Kevin is survived by his brother Daniel Yungk and his wife Pam of Ruskin, FL; and a niece Jennifer Ann.

Burial will be private.
