Kevin Joseph Hoopingarner, age 58, of Wickliffe, passed away with loved ones on January 20, 2019. He was born in Painesville, Ohio on October 25, 1960 to the late Robert and Mary Kay Hoopingarner. Kevin worked at Steris Corp.

for over 25 years. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church since 1991 and was a member of the contemporary and men’s choirs.

As a member of the Mt. Carmel Players, he met his wife in 1992. He was also a vocalist in the Slovenian choir Glasbena Matica for 10 years.

Kevin was very involved as a Captain in the yearly parish festival for over 25 years. He was a devoted Eucharistic Adoration attendee. Kevin had a “Book of Life,” which was his guide to pray for friends and family as a remembrance of marriages and deaths.

Kevin loved to cook for his family and friends. He was a great friend and a good soul. His creativity and talent will always be remembered.

He was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns Fan and was a long-time participant in Fantasy Football Leagues. He had great insight about the games. He was a loving husband, father, son, son-in-law, brother, uncle and friend.

Kevin will be dearly missed. Kevin was the loving husband for 24 years of Lynne (Yohe), father of Kevin Patrick Hoopingarner, brother of Bob (Marianne), Tim (Sandy), Jim, Mary and Ann Hoopingarner, son-in-law of Charles and Charlene Yohe, uncle of Allegra, Hanna, David (Kenda) and Diana (Joe) and brother-in-law of Chuck and David (Donna) Yohe. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Twp.

A Funeral Mass will be 11 am Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 29840 Euclid Ave, Wickliffe Ohio. Kevin’s visitation will be Friday from 3-8 pm at the Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd.
