Obituary for Kevin Lee Meyer Print Kevin Lee Meyer, 59, of Highland, IL, born August 26, 1959 in Highland, IL passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019. He was a veteran of the United States Marines. Kevin spent most of his life as a truck driver specializing in over-sized loads.

He took over his father’s business, Meyer’s Saw Shop and closed it in 2015. You could find Kevin always wearing his bib overalls and tinkering on things in his garage. He also spent many years racing on the dirt track in Highland.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Clinton Meyer. Kevin is survived by his wife, Melissa Ann Meyer; mother, UnaMae Meyer nee Henss of Highland, IL; children, Mindy and Darren Holsapple of Collinsville, IL, Melanie and Thomas Harrington of Troy, IL, Marcy Hartman of Collinsville, IL, Ann Meyer of Oklahoma, Darlene and Josh Heiuser of St. Jacob, IL, and Keith Meyer of Collinsville, IL; step-children, Kevin and Liz Provost of Pocahontas, IL and Victoria and Matt Rowden of TX; four sisters, 1 brother, 17 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
