Kevin “Torque” William Whitney May 07, 1962 – May 20, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Kevin “Torque” , 57, of Niles, MI, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles. He was born May 7, 1962 in Niles, MI to the late Clarence “Mac” and Jayne Louise Whitney. Torque spent his early childhood years growing up in Hobart, IN until moving to Niles.

He enjoyed fishing, swimming, and riding his motorcycle. Most of all, he loved spending time with his fiancé, family, and friends. He was proud to be Charter President for the Avengers M.C. Cass County Chapter.

Survivors include his fiancée, Judy “Boots” Vallieres; sons, Joseph Hogue, John Hogue; daughter, Miranda Chubb; brother, Greg Whitney; sister, Pat Chaires-Layhew-McCarty; grandchildren, Ethan, Gracie, Phelix, Lilly, Marley; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as many friends that he considered his brothers and sisters. Celebration of Torque’s life will be held by the family at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
