Kim Joanne Patterson, 61, of Canonsburg, died Sunday, December 2, 2018, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 26, 1957, in Washington, a daughter of Joseph and Sylvia Rodighiero DeFilippo. Kim was a member of St. Patrick Church, Canonsburg.

She worked as a secretary and treasurer at SEIU. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and loved spending time with her family. She was passionate about her career, and will be remembered for her courage, strength, and hard work.

Surviving are her mother, Sylvia Rodighiero DeFilippo, of Canonsburg, her sons, Brian P. (Gia) Patterson, of Gibsonia, Chris P. (Angel) Patterson, of Canonsburg; her companion, James Batch, Jr., her brother, Joseph M. (Vanessa) DeFilippo, of Brownsville, sister, Amanda Butler, of Donora, grandchildren, Isabella and Brian A. Patterson, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph A. DeFilippo, and her sister, Ianne DeFilippo. Friends will be received Thursday, 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8pm, at the Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.

Departing prayers will be recited in the funeral home, Friday, at 9:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian burial, in St. Patrick Church, at 10am. Interment will follow in the St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg. The family kindly suggests memorial contributions be made to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, www.
