Kim Lorraine (Carrier) Woods went into the arms of Jesus on January 3, 2019. She was born to the late Laura “Joan” (Gamble) and Burnett B. “Bud” Carrier on November 27, 1953. She is the widow of the late Glenn L. Woods, whom she married on October 13, 1973.

Glenn passed in 1989. Kim graduated from Freeport Area High School in 1972. Kim also graduated from Butler Co. Community College School of Nursing where she received her degree as a resisted nurse in 1992.

Kim was employed with the Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights as a registered nurse for over 25 years. Kim leaves behind her loving son, Wade & Holly Woods and her precious daughter, Laura & Nicholaus Obringer all of Buffalo Twp. She also leaves behind her devoted partner of 20 years, Richard “Dick” Wesolosky and Dick’s son, Dan Wesolosky.

Her brother, Clayton Carrier of Butler and her sister, Sherry & Charles Peiffer of Buffalo Twp. In addition, she is survived by her “Mimi’s Bunch”. Alyssa Obringer, Weston Woods, Paige Obringer, Samantha Obringer, Brodey Woods, Grace Obringer, Zander Woods and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kim is preceded in death by her parents and husband. Her sister, Ivy J. Carrier and her nephew, Buddy Peiffer. From Kim’s great grandmother’s Painters Bible; 2 Timothy, 4:7-8.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Hence forth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. Family and friends will be received on Monday January 7, 2019 from 1-3 & 6-9 pm in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. in Freeport.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday January 8th at 11:00 am in the Buffalo Presbyterian Church at 678 Sarver Rd. , in Sarver with Rev. Jean Smith officiating.
